Dungeon Tap is a skill-based dungeon crawler for iPhone. Tap to move, swipe to strike a flank, tap to parry inside a telegraphed wind-up. Thirty hand-crafted floors, no randomness in combat, no ads, no subscriptions.
Something wrong, or just stuck? Write to dev@theile.app — please include your iOS version and the floor you were on. I read every message and usually reply within a few days.
Reporting a bug? Settings → Send diagnostics builds a report of what the game did this session — app version, device model, and the game’s own log — and shows it to you before anything is sent. Read it, then share it however you like. Because it only covers the current session, reproduce the problem first and export straight afterwards; the app sends nothing on its own.
How to play
- Tap a tile to walk there. Tap the glowing door to leave a cleared room.
- Swipe to strike an enemy on a neighbouring tile. The direction of the swipe is where the blow comes from — right-to-left hits their left side. A hit into a shield bounces; step around and strike an open flank.
- Tap during a wind-up to parry. When an enemy glows, the bright pulse at the end is your window. One attempt per wind-up — mashing loses.
- Once you stand beside an enemy the fight is on: you can circle it, but you cannot walk away.
Common questions
I paid, but the game is locked again. Open the game, go to Settings → Restore Purchases, and make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. The unlock is permanent and re-checked with Apple every launch, so this usually resolves it. If it does not, mail me and I will sort it out.
Which floors are free? Floors 1–5, including the first boss, are the complete free demo. One single purchase unlocks floors 6–30 forever. There is nothing else to buy.
My progress disappeared. Progress lives in local files on the device. Deleting and reinstalling the app removes them — that cannot be recovered, and I am sorry. Your purchase is safe either way and comes back with Restore Purchases.
The parry timing feels too tight. Settings → Relaxed Timing makes every parry window half again as long. Enemies wind up for exactly as long as before; you simply get more of that window to answer. It is there to be used.
Do I need Game Center? No. Declining sign-in leaves the whole game playable — you only lose the per-floor leaderboards and achievements.
Does it work offline? Completely. The game makes no network requests of its own.
Accessibility
The game honours Reduce Motion (decorative animation stops; combat telegraphs keep animating because they carry information), VoiceOver covers the menus, settings, and the chest decisions, and Relaxed Timing widens every parry window. If something is in your way, please tell me — that feedback is genuinely useful.
Privacy
